Nearly all major public health events in recent decades have been related to animal diseases. The "One Health" concept of harmonious coexistence among "humans, animals, and the environment" is gaining more attention, and strengthening research and control of animal diseases is crucial. The 2nd Animal Disease and One Health Forum, which was jointly organized by the Animal Diseases Journal and Huazhong Agricultural University, will be held from November 15 to 17 in Nanjing, China.
Following the "One Health" concept, the forum focuses on animal diseases and interdisciplinary fields related to animal diseases and provides a unique platform for sharing and highlighting the latest research, technological progress and ideas that will significantly contribute to animal welfare and human health. Six academicians, more than 30 top scientists from nine countries around the world and several officials of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will share their latest research results, technologies, and ideas. The meeting involves multiple sessions, including keynote presentations, plenary lectures, and poster presentations. International participants will attend the conference online with no registration fee.
This meeting also launched the “RENOFARM Youth Poster Challenge” with the FAO. This competition, which focuses on “Pioneering one health solution for reducing the need for antibiotics” and “Animal diseases & human health”, is open to university students across the globe. Participants will receive a "Certificate" jointly issued by the organizing committee and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
